Paklinski Islands
About this destination
The Paklinski islands are located off the southwest coast of the island of the most famous Croatian island Hvar, Croatia, opposite the entrance to the Hvar city harbor. The name is popularly translated as Hell islands, but that is a completely wrong translation, it originally derives from paklina, an archaic word, from which Pakleni is derived. “Paklina” means “tar”, and in this case refers to the pine resin once used to coat ships. You will feel like in heaven, no place for hell here.
